You’d love to visit New York again. But you’re dying to see Boston … or maybe Philadelphia or D.C. You can only afford one trip this season. Which city will you choose? Now you don’t have to choose just one city after all.
Introducing 2-city roundtrip travel on Midwest Airlines and an inexpensive fare between cities on the brand new Bolt Bus.
Here’s how to plan your trip:
Fly into La Guardia or Newark on an early Midwest flight.
Spend a day or two in Manhattan.
Then head to Boston on a brand new, relatively luxurious Bolt Bus for a small fare ($10-$30).
Spend another day or two in Boston
Fly home on the return portion of your Midwest Airlines ticket.
Here’s my cost breakdown for a trip May 22-27, 2008 (as fares look today 4/18/08):
May 22 — Midwest Airlines Milwaukee to NY La Guardia.
May 24 — Bolt Bus Manhattan to Boston
May 27 — Midwest Airlines Boston to Milwaukee
Roundtrip Airfare: $145.36 (with 5% discount for booking by April 30). With usual taxes, fees — about $165.
Bolt Bus: $10-$15
Grand Total for Transportation between 3 cities: $175-$180
You just can’t beat that for a 2-city getaway on the East Coast!
